2009 NATIONAL BLACK GRADUATE STUDENT CONFERENCE

The 2009 National Black Graduate Student Conference (NBGSC) Engaged…Empowered…Expect It! will convene from Wednesday, March 11-15, 2009 in Houston, Texas. We have set lofty goals for our 21st annual event and have worked diligently to generate the largest attendance in recent memory. The National Black Graduate Student Conference (NBGSC) will be held at the Double Tree Hotel Downtown Houston. A discounted rate of $109.00 + tax per night has been established for conference attendees. To reserve you room(s), contact the hotel at 713-351-5763 and mention “NBGSA”.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The 2008-2009 NBGSA Conference Committee is seeking proposals for papers, posters, panels, and workshops that focus on our conference theme, Engaged…Empowered…Expect It!. While proposals related to this theme are especially encouraged, proposals addressing any topic of interest to the diverse membership of the National Black Graduate Student Association are welcome.

All proposals must be submitted electronically to Darren Kelly, Vice President for Administration, at vpadmin@nbgsa.org by December 19th, 2008 for priority selection.
